New England Road Trip - Day One

Started a bit late ... but hey that is our way :)  Stopped at our favorites --- Cakes Plus and Panera Bread.  Mike was not too happy with me when I stole his potato chips to eat later...  As we approached exit 7 on the New Jersey Turnpike, we realized we were not tired.  So a phone call to Zack to let him know were were not stopping and with the help of American Express and my points and Mike's Hilton Honors program --- we got a free stay in Mystic, CT.   The Garmin drove us through this gorgeous road in CT.  I think it was 81 or 87.  Just beautiful.  Maybe it was the fog.  (Fog like the movie The Fog!!!)  We got to Mystic at 1.30.  Checkin was a breeze...again thanks to Kim at American Express and Jennifer of Hilton Customer Service!!!
