So our kayak trip for tomorrow may get cancelled as there is rain in the forecast :(  Hey, there is a back up plan though!!!  Left around 10.30 for the Cape.

Checked into the Belfry were we were able to upgrade to an Abbey room for just $60 bucks extra a night --- this is so worth it.  Why?  TV, Whirlpool Tub and Fireplace!!!  Room is really cool!!!  The Abbey is really cool!!! And, the innkeeper Chris is real mellow and cool!! (Let us check in immediately --- which was great!)

So after filling up the duffle bag with two days worth of clothes from the suitcase, we drive ---using the Garmin to Steamship Authority to go the Martha's Vineyard.  So okay...I used Look Up Location, yeah will be doing that real carefully for now on.  It took us into the middle of some residential area.  We were in the total WRONG section of the Cape.  It took us like 45 minutes and me melting down to get to were we needed to be.  Believe this ... Mike had to calm me down!  It as a good lesson for the both of us.  We arrived to the parking lot and piled on the bus and headed to Woods Hole.  Had a drinking at this waterhole off the pier and then onto the boat.  The ride is about on the boat is about 45 minutes.

The entire time were were at MV it threatened rain!  But Mother Nature is on our side...will it last through tomorrow morning?  MV was great!  The guys at the bike rental spot gave us a map to get to Oak Bluffs and suggested were to eat.  So ... I am navigating and we get lost!  We so took the long way to get to where we needed to be (i.e. not following the map).  But we got to Oak Bluffs and saw the Tabernacle area, down by the port and the Flying CArousel (which unfortunately was closed for the evening).  The houses here are stunning!

On the way back we make it in a nick of time to go to Net Asset.  A tasty lobster shack.  For the price of chinese take out we got 2 1 1/4 at least lobsters, about 4 dozen mussels, 2 dozen clams and butter, butter, butter!  Seriously...best first New England dinner!  After returning the bikes, we had some ice cream ...

Back at the room, thank goodness for the upgrade.  After about 10 miles or more of biking (remember I got us lost!) I needed a soak!  And it is cold...so fireplace is totally needed.
